Pensions
Pension legislation changes regularly, making it essential to keep on top of these developments and make appropriate changes when required. It is a little surprising, therefore, that what may represent someone's single most valuable asset is often not reviewed as frequently as their other investments.
Legislative changes, introduced in April 2006, attempted to simplify the myriad of rules that apply to pensions; many argue they have actually caused further confusion and uncertainty. Whatever the truth, what is clear is that both opportunities and threats have been created.
Our Wealth Advisers have a rounded knowledge of pensions and pensions legislation. They are backed by a specialist technical department, consisting of a number of highly knowledgeable pensions professionals, helping to provide an even deeper level of expertise in a vast and ever-changing arena. This means we can help even with very complex arrangements, particularly for high earners or those with larger pension funds who will have a wider range of choices open to them.
In addition, we have our own administration systems that allow us to provide bespoke pension solutions, such as our own Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP). This complete package means that we are able to maintain full control over the financial planning advice, the management of pension assets and the standard of service that our clients receive.
SIPPs
Our SIPP proposition is fully authorised, by the Financial Services Authority, and provides access to all investment funds and an extensive range of other investment options.
The SIPP allows clients to benefit from Towry Law's Wealth Management Service. This incorporates leading-edge asset allocation technology and the skills and experience of our Investment management team. We believe this is the best approach for investors. Please click here for biographies of the investment team.
For those utilising our Wealth Management Service, the SIPP product charges both initial and annual are waived. Clients are also able to access valuations, portfolio breakdowns and other information online, so, if they wish, they can keep a regular track of their holdings. This information about SIPP investments can be combined with any other Wealth Management Service investments which may be held outside the SIPP such as ISAs and bonds, to provide a comprehensive portfolio overview.
